You can often find me outside gardening in the evenings, in my kitchen late at night, and puttering around my house (bouncing from project to project) during the day.

Before farming and settling back in Utah, I spent most of my time traveling.
I documented these travels on a travel blog; flying country to country, continent to continent. I visited 5 continents, 25 countries, and countless spectacular towns and cities during this time.
No matter where I was, I always found myself most inspired when sharing a table, enjoying a meal, and experiencing the local food culture.
Through these experiences, I came to understand food culture as a unique reflection of the land, the climate, the seasons, and the people who work to produce the food.
The global pandemic paused my travels and brought me back home to Utah. It wasn’t the path I had expected or wanted at the time, but it ultimately led to the creation of Together We Bloom.
My years of exploring the world sparked a lasting fascination with the relationship between people, food, and community.
Those same loves and fascinations stayed with me as I settled back into a life in Utah, only this time, I set roots.
Once I settled back in Utah, I got to experience some of the little luxuries that felt extraordinary after years on the road. I got a dog, I fell in love, and together we built a garden.
That garden grew as our love grew. Our flower garden became the place where we got married and grew our own wedding flowers.
This was the start of Together We Bloom.
Over the next few years, what started as our small flower garden expanded to an acre of commercial cut-flower production. We offered wholesale flowers, bouquet subscriptions, sold at the farmers markets and local shops, created wedding flowers, funeral flowers, hosted u-picks, workshops, and events.
It grew faster than we could have ever imagined. We learned a lot (through our blood, sweat, and tears) and gathered an amazing community of customers, fellow farmers, creatives, and friends along the way
There were plenty of challenges that came with running the farm. One of the hardest came when we took a stand at our local farmers market against imported flowers being sold alongside local growers. It was the right choice for us to leave the market, but it came with real financial impact.
We also didn’t own the land where we farmed. What had originally seemed like a promising, long-term farming location for us to build our business on turned out to be short-lived and complicated.
In July of 2024, we made the difficult decision to evacuate the space by the end of October. With limited time and resources, we rescued what we could, sold and gave away parts of the farm and business, and transplanted hundreds of perennials into flower beds at our house.
Saying goodbye to this land was devastating. We were under the impression that we had 5–10 years on that land to grow and nurture the business, but 3 seasons on this land were all we got.
Financially and emotionally, it sucked…but we survived it.
After saying goodbye to the farm, we made the decision NOT to rebuild unless we could own the land ourselves.
Starting over takes a lot of time, money, and hard work. And it takes several years to recoup those expenses.
While I still dream of opening another agriculture business one day (this time, more of an agrotourism business), that dream ultimately depends on miraculous things falling into place for us.
So, for now, Together We Bloom carries the same love for community, local farms, and seasonal produce…
it just looks and feels a little different.
I am currently working as an independent contractor for a several small farms, offering garden consulting
and I’ll be selling plants, seeds, and bulbs throughout the year.
I am not certain what lies ahead, but in the meantime, I will be building out this website as a blog and a resource. and celebrating the things that I love
