Earth Day- Utah Dahlia Growing Workshop

Join us to celebrate EARTH DAY at Together We Bloom’s annual dahlia growing workshop. This year, the workshop will be hosted by Aloha Golf and Coffee Lounge in Layton for a wonderful (and delicious) collaboration between our two small, local businesses!
Dahlias are one of the most stunning and magical flowers.. but in our Northern Utah climate, they can also be ‘divas,’ requiring some extra knowledge to successfully grow them.
This workshop is appropriate for both the novice and an experienced dahlia grower looking to improve their dahlia patch.
We will share everything that we know to teach you to grow dahlias like the pros. You will leave feeling empowered, excited, and ready to grow your own abundant and beautiful dahlias.

Workshop Specifics:
Where is the Workshop: Our friends at Aloha Golf and Coffee just launched their brand new business and we are excited (and so grateful) to partner with them for this event. They are located in Layton at 21 E Gentile Street Layton, Utah 84041.
How Long Does the Wokrhsop Run? The workshop will start at 6:00 and last for 45-60 minutes. However, you can come as early as 5:30 to get a drink (coffees, tropical sodas, smoothies, chai, lemonade, and more) from the coffee shop before the workshop starts.
What is included in the cost? Your cost includes the 45-60 minute workshop, a $5 drink credit to put towards the purchase of a treat from Aloha Coffee and Golf Lounge while you are here, and a 30 page pdf after the workshop with everything we discussed in the workshop and more.
What Topics will be covered in the workshop? We will talk about all things dahlias: how and when to plant them, watering, fertilizing, supporting the plants, cutting the flowers to bring inside and put in a vase, where to buy tubers, and digging and storing the tubers. This is the perfect time of year to plant tubers so we will have tubers there for you to purchase (pending availability.) Bring your questions, we are happy to share all that we have learned.
How will the workshop be structured? Overall this is a casual workshop where it feels more like a bunch of garden friends coming together. You will get to enjoy a tasty beverage while I lead the workshop, stopping to address questions and clarifications as needed.
What Do I Need to Bring? After the workshop, we send out an extensive pdf with everything that we cover in the class so there is no need to take notes (unless you want to.) You may want to bring your wallet in case your drink is over $5, you want to tip our baristas, or in case you want to purchase dahlia tubers while you are here.
Limited Spots: This workshop is limited to 15 people to keep it conversational and intimate

Terms and Conditions:
If you are no longer able to attend the workshop, you are welcome to give your ticket to someone else but we are unable to refund tickets once they are purchased. If you do give your ticket away, please email us at hello@together-webloom.com to provide us with the new participant’s name and email address so that we can send them a reminder email.
